Minnesota Timberwolves star Marko Jaric is officially the luckiest man alive since he’s dating Victoria’s Secret model Adriana Lima, but is he way out of his league?

Jaric, 29, was born in Belgrade, Yugoslavia. He is a 6′7″ forward guard. Adriana Lima at 5′10″ would normally be considered statuesque but not in the presence of this guy. Lima is the darling of the runway and every photographers dream, she is considered one of the world’s sexiest women. Marko Jaric is one very lucky guy. According to those who know Jaric, he is clearly overachieving in the romance department. 

Understandably, his teammates are shocked. “Ever since he started dating Adriana Lima, he’s a new man,” Mark Madsen said, laughing. “He’s flying all over the court. He dunked! I’ve never seen him dunk.”

The couple has been dating for over six months, but Jaric says he was perplexed by a Web-based rumor about him checking out the local jewelry stores for a ring.

“I am not shopping right now,” Jaric, says. “But I could start tomorrow. I am that close. I’m definitely not yet engaged, but it doesn’t mean we’re not thinking about it.”

At that point, the entire process may come as a surprise. “I would rather keep that my own secret,” says Jaric. “It’s a life decision … a private thing.”

The Serb athlete admits he’s not normally romantic, but being with the Brazilian supermodel, has changed him. “I was not the person to fall in love easily. I am a difficult person from that standpoint,” he says. “Now, it’s a little different situation.”

For all you guys out there who love Brazilian supermodels, you may want to get the latest copy of GQ magazine. Adriana Lima is the latest issue’s covergirl, and there are some pretty steamy photos inside.

Miss Lima was at Saks Fifth Avenue yesterday to promote the mag and sign autographs. And you can be sure there were plenty of drooling boys waiting in line to meet the South American sex symbol.

In the cover story, Adriana reveals her strict “no sex before marriage” rule, as well as the high standards she hold for her suitors. She states, “Sex is for after marriage. They (men) have to respect that this is my choice. If there’s no respect, that means they don’t want me. When we’re traveling together for the first time, we sleep in different rooms. That’s the number one thing.”

And it doesn’t stop there. “Show me you can take care of me. Say you’re taking me to dinner: I expect you to pick me up and open the car door for me. Hold the restaurant door while I enter and pull out the chair for me when I sit down. Stand up when I go to the restroom and again when I return.”

“Don’t change your personality when you get around people at a party, or don’t walk in and think you’re the hottest person because you have the hottest girl. If you start carrying me around like a trophy, it’s not good.”

Sexy supermodel Adriana Lima has been jetting from one sunny destination to another, mixing in work and play this weekend.

To start things off, the Victoria’s Secret Angel made a grand arrival to Liverpool Santa Fe to attend the Fashion Fest 2008 Spring/Summer press conference and photocall in Mexico City on Friday.

After answering questions and posing for pictures, Lima packed her bags and jumped on a plane headed for Hawaii.

Once she landed, the Brazilian babe was seen joining friends at a resort hotel for drinks and a spectacular Maui sunset – leaving the restaurant awhile later in a lovely yellow sundress with blackberry in hand.
